Using MyYardCare
These website terms apply to MyYardCare, also styled My Yard Care. Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in details secure. Phone numbers and SMS consent are optional when creating an account. A separate checkbox records your acceptance of these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy; accepting them does not enroll you in texts. A phone number and SMS consent are not required to submit the form. Service agreements and payment authorization are reviewed separately when applicable to a job.
Referrals, service responsibilities & incidents
DUMMY DATA, REVIEW AND UPDATE WITH LAWYER BEFORE USE
Referrals and platform role: Work opportunities are referred through MyYardCare (My Yard Care). MyYardCare facilitates introductions, proposals, scheduling, communications, and payment processing as disclosed in the accepted proposal. The selected provider performs the on-site services. This description does not make MyYardCare an insurer or guarantor of another party's conduct, and does not remove obligations MyYardCare expressly undertakes or responsibilities imposed by law.
On-site responsibilities: The provider is responsible for performing the agreed services safely, protecting property, using suitable tools and methods, and meeting qualifications, permits, and insurance requirements applicable to that work. The homeowner is responsible for safe access and disclosing known hazards and restrictions. Each party remains responsible for its own actions and omissions to the extent required by law.
Accidents and incidents: To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyYardCare does not assume responsibility for accidents, personal injury, property damage, or other losses caused solely by the acts or omissions of a provider, homeowner, or other third party. This limitation does not exclude MyYardCare's own negligence, gross negligence, fraud, willful misconduct, violations of law, or any liability or obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded. It does not waive mandatory consumer rights or determine the legal status of any person or relationship.
Insurance and reporting: A referral, profile approval, or insurance badge is not a promise that a particular loss is insured. Coverage depends on the applicable policy, limits, exclusions, and current status; MyYardCare does not currently provide insurance coverage. Report accidents, damage, unsafe conditions, or an unexpected worker promptly through your account or hello@myyardcare.com and preserve relevant records. Contact emergency services for immediate danger. A reporting request does not shorten statutory claim deadlines or forfeit legal rights.

The MyYardCare messaging program
MyYardCare ("we," "us," or "our") offers optional transactional SMS messages to account holders. Messages may include service appointment reminders, requests to confirm attendance, booking or visit updates, and a one-time code when you request phone verification. This program does not enroll you in promotional or marketing texts.
The following sections cover the SMS program. Your accepted proposal and applicable service agreements govern your yard-care services.
Your consent
Providing a phone number or creating an account does not subscribe you to service texts. Requesting a verification code authorizes that one-time verification text; verifying your phone alone does not enroll you in ongoing service messages without your separate saved consent.
To opt in, check the optional service-text consent box beside your contact phone number and save your preference. Delivery requires phone verification and an enabled messaging program. Saving consent while messaging is unavailable does not send a text. By enabling service texts, you agree to these SMS terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You can use MyYardCare without opting into SMS.
Provide a number you control or are authorized to use. Keep it current in your account and update it if the number changes or is reassigned.
Message frequency & rates
Message frequency varies. The number of messages depends on your requests, scheduled services, and account activity. We may send a follow-up when an appointment still needs your response.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's plan and charges apply to messages sent or received. Contact your carrier with questions about those charges.
Stopping messages
You can turn off service texts in your account at any time. You may also reply STOP to the sending number to stop texts from that number. Your carrier may send an opt-out confirmation.
Stopping texts does not cancel a booking, close your account, or stop essential account and service emails. Review service details and respond to appointment requests through your account. To resume texting, follow the sending number's opt-in instructions and enable service texts in your account when available.
Help & message delivery
Reply HELP to the sending number for SMS help, or email hello@myyardcare.com.
Message availability depends on our messaging configuration, your carrier, and your device. Messages may be delayed, filtered, or not delivered. Check your MyYardCare account for current service details; a missing text does not by itself cancel or change an appointment. SMS is not an emergency service.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use and protect your information. We do not sell or rent mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or consent records, or share them with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Messaging service providers and carriers may receive the limited information needed to deliver messages, honor opt-outs, prevent abuse, or comply with legal obligations.
Updates to these terms
The current terms and update date are published on this page. Changes affecting the scope of your SMS consent will be reflected in the opt-in disclosures, and we will obtain additional consent where required. We may change or discontinue the messaging program without changing your separate service agreement. Nothing here waives rights that applicable law makes nonwaivable.
